MEET DR. NG

Dr. Ng grew up in both California and in Canada. After completing her undergraduate studies at York University in Toronto, she completed medical school at the University of Western Ontario, followed by a full plastic surgery residency took place at McMaster University. Dr. Ng moved to Phoenix, Arizona for an additional accredited subspecialty fellowship in hand surgery before moving back to California. She is fully certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and she is also a board certified hand surgeon.

As a former full time Assistant Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of California Irvine in Orange County for almost 3 years, Dr. Ng taught the next generation of plastic surgeons as the Assistant Director of the Plastic Surgery residency program. She also served as Co-Director of Hand Surgery for the Department of Plastic Surgery during this time. In addition, at the VA Hospital in Long Beach, Dr. Ng continues to provide upper extremity restoration reconstructive surgery options for spinal cord injury patients as a part of a multidisciplinary team. She has a passion for hand surgery for patients of all ages, including congenital anomalies including duplicate digits, syndactyly and amniotic band syndrome of the extremities. Dr. Ng also provides services at Hoag Hospital in Irvine and Newport Beach, and at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center. In addition, she also regularly provide services at La Veta Surgery Center in Orange, Children’s Hospital of Orange County, and St. Joseph’s Hospital in Orange.
